KULY TANGU MANIFESTS IN HIS GREATEST ELEMENT

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. It's not just a step. It's a step in the right direction. However; even that one step is never easy to take. Especially without the moral support of the people who matter in your life.  It takes pure dedication to soldier on for nine years, until you become acceptable to the community and the corporate world. Hence looking back; there couldn't be a happier moment than today for Kuly Tangu. Today is that day he welcomes us to his new brand.

AN ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF

Kuly Tangu is a Hip-Hop artist and producer, born in 1989. He is a young hard working man who has completely given himself to the music industry. He started a Record Label called Back Pack Music Ent' back in 2013 and he is one of the producers there. He has also
contributed much in grooming young talent.

 WHAT COMES WITH THE REBRAND?

From 2012 to 2018 Kuly’s music has been characterised with different genres. It's been difficult to attach him to any particular genre. This pushed him to think deeply on the  picture he wanted to portray to the world.  Therefore what really changed is his perspective of himself as a brand and what he represents. He is now more acceptable to the community and corporate world at large. His brand is associated with a clean image of respect, responsibility and reason. These 3 “Rs” magnify the spirit of “Ubuntu”. 

THE BEST MOMENT OF HIS CAREER.      

 "The best moment in my music career was the day I received a call from my big brother in Swaziland saying that he had seen my music video on Channel O. He was proud of how i persevered in the music business. Those words were worth more than the fame and money. Finally family was accepting me as an artist and they were willing to go the extra mile with me. It still brings tears to my eyes even today."

WHAT CAREER WOULD HE OPT FOR IF HE HAD NOT TAKEN MUSIC?

"I have studied Accounts and Telecommunication & Digital Networks so in a perfect world i would be doing just that, a corner office with glass doors."

ABOUT HIS LATEST PROJECT, EN MI ELEMENTO

“En Mi Elemento” In My Element is a project close to my heart. It reveals my personality and how I truly view myself. My first song introduces the sound that defines me which i call “Astro-Trap” that is me welcoming everyone to my world. Second song is a ceil of my rebrand hence “New Level”. The album is a perfect reflection of Kuly Tangu the Brand and the artist. Those few songs were enough to invite business people to the table to offer services. I didn’t know how much power i had in me all along until i became myself. The album showed me that when you give your true self, the people who are drawn to you eventually find you.
So in short, 'In My Element' was an eye opener on the greatness of being myself."

THE FUN FACTS ABOUT KULY TANGU!!

"Aaaw were do I begin, I think the funny one would be how I actually thought my real name was Kuly from grade 1 to 7. I only found out my real name was Sikulile Tangu when i was registering for grade 7 exams, but for real though, i am a weird person. Happy songs make me sad and sad songs make me happy. Thats some of it i guess."

THE FUTURE OF THE KULY TANGU BRAND

"The album is still here so expect more videos from it. Also expect more new artists from my record label. Some major collabs are on the way as we are also releasing a bonus tracks from the album. Hopefully you get to meet my family soon fingers crossed."
