Xosti’s new single is out and he features Durban’s Finest DJ Tira.

Correspondent - United Kingdom based Zimbabwean hip hop artist Xosti has landed a collaboration with South Africa’s DJ Tira on a track titled Imali Ingenile. The gqom track was produced by Afrotainment’s Prince Bulo while the visuals were done by Fortune Films.
Xosti’s music career dates back to 2004 when he worked with Ingwe studios on his debut album “ughev’omnyama” under the stage name Mazia, the album was on some of the country’s finest radio stations including Power FM. He later moved to South Africa were he continued with his passion for music and managed to share the stage with the likes of Mzekezeke, Zola 7 and Brown Dash. Xosti also featured on Trompies video Fohloza as a dancer.
In a quest for greener pastures he relocated to his current base in London were he temporarily stopped making music until 2018 when he released a single titled “Obhengayo” and his passion was re-ignited. The collaboration was inspired by a conversation he had with Tira in Birmingham (UK) in 2019 due to COVID-19 the duo did not manage to do the track together till early this year.
“Working with DJ Tira and Prince Bulo is something that I can count as a career achievement, based on the fact that I haven’t done much in the gqom genre and my first track in the genre features highly profiled names in the industry.” – Xosti
The single which is now available on various digital stores including iTunes and Spotify came with visuals which were also shot in Durban South Africa.
“A hit was made and we had to immediately arrange for visuals seeing the weight the project carried. What the public is seeing now are the fruits of hard work and united artists pushing together.” – Xosti
